This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I serve approximately 150 diverse ELL students at 2 Title 1 elementary schools in Zephyrhills, FL. My students' families come from many different countries, mostly Spanish speaking, seeking opportunities for their children and families. In order to provide optimal language practice, students need access to virtual programs, including Imagine Learning for my newcomers. It is quite difficult for my students to concentrate on their individual work when they hear everyone else's computers speaking at the same time as theirs. In order to obtain the language, they need to be able to focus on their differentiated individual progress.
