Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

I am a speech and language pathologist working with preschool, elementary, middle and high school students. My students are all working hard to achieve their speech and language goals and to improve their overall communication skills.

These sensory table and sensory bin items will help them get ready to communicate about summer in a fun and exciting way!

My students absolutely love when I create sensory bins for them to use in our play based speech and language sessions. These bins allow me to work with my students on many speech and language goals including requesting, commenting, turn taking, improving vocabulary, describing, answering questions and countless others!

Several of my students are using their alternative and/or augmentative communication systems to communicate. These activities will provide them with language rich opportunities to navigate between pages on their devices and select related icons in order to communicate.
