This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students come with various social and academic needs. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. My focus is to produce future leaders who will move our community forward in a positive way.
I work with some of the most enthusiastic and caring kids/families around!
My building serves students in grades K-8. We have a very dedicated staff of educators who work tirelessly to create a positive learning environment for our children.
My Project
My students love to learn with fun and colorful literacy and math activities during center time. They practice writing skills, math concepts, reading, etc. in a fun way! It is their favorite part of their day!
For this project, I'm requesting cardstock, copy paper, laminating pouches, printer ink, and a laminator.
With these products, I will be able to print colored math and literacy centers that are engaging for my students. With a portable laminator, my centers will be able to be laminated which will hold their strength for years to come.
The ability to laminate the centerpieces will provide students the opportunity to experience the activities multiple times. Center activities provide the opportunity for students to extend their knowledge and understanding in a specific content area.
By laminating the center activities, students will be able to practice and refine their skills again and again. Continuing their excitement about learning!
