My Project

My moderate-to-severe Special Education students utilize a variety of worksheets and visual supports to help them function alongside their general education peers as they navigate through the learning day. As amazing as my students are, one thing they are not is gentle. Having the ability to laminate materials so they are strong and functional for my students will greatly support them as they continue to build skills in academics (language/ vocabulary, reading, writing, math, social studies, and science), social functioning (expectations and appropriate behaviors in the classroom setting), and communication (visuals for AT devices and PECS).

This laminator will help me to support students by creating the materials that they need to learn successfully inside and outside of the general education classroom.

With this laminator, I will be able to create visual schedules to help students navigate routines, write and wipe worksheets that make learning more accessible, center activities, vocabulary cards that utilize real pictures to help understanding and comprehension, and communication supports like picture exchange items or inserts for communication devices. The support and learning possibilities are endless!
