Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students vary in age from 12-17. They are all diverse learners with special needs. Each learner comes to school with a positive attitude and is eager to learn.
My students have a variety of learning disabilities.
Each student has their own needs and learning must be centered around their needs. Each student enters the class with a different learning style which must be addressed in order for them to have access to the curriculum. With hard work and dedication, the possibilities are endless.
My Project
My students are a diverse population with various special needs. After teaching, students' branch out into their groups and work in stations. Each student has different needs. If I am able to laminate, I will be able to differentiate student instruction and reuse the materials. This will enable students to reinforce recently learned skills.
When writing, each assignment we complete must be drafted, peer edited, corrected, revised and rewritten.
Each assignment has a specific rubric. Having a laminator will allow students to assess themselves and edit their work with ease. Having a laminator will make a huge difference in the classroom.
When reading, students' will be able to annotate on the laminated sheet, other students' can add on. This will be a huge learning tool for the classroom.
With any assignment that is laminated, students can use dry erase markers for the assignment. Worksheets can be reused, saving paper. Having a laminator will allow students to reuse worksheets.
