This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a special education teacher, we laminate things all the time! It is vital for my job to be able to have bright and colorful visuals to use with my students. However, I also don't want to be wasteful and have to reprint/recreate things every time I have a new group of kids.

These lamination pouches will help us save the environment by preserving our resources and projects so they last a lifetime, rather than always re-printing new copies each time we need something.

We will use the lamination pouches to preserve our visuals, classroom schedules, and class materials (for reading, writing, and math primarily) that will last over time. The larger pouches will be perfect for our posters and word walls so we can unpack them and reuse them year after year instead of always recreating new ones with new poster paper... what a waste! These lamination pouches would also provide a way to preserve student work to use as exemplars.
