Laminating Love: Stronger Materials for Stronger Learners
Help me give my students a laminator. A laminator will help our students with disabilities access durable, reusable schedules, curriculum, and behavior supports; giving them consistent tools to learn, communicate, and thrive every single day.
At our school, our 120 amazing Pre-K through 8th grade students with moderate to severe disabilities and medical fragility inspire us every day. They need materials they can use again and again. That’s where a high-quality laminator makes all the difference.
Our students work so hard to learn, communicate, and grow, but they need classroom tools that can keep up with them.
Because of their unique learning needs, they often repeat curriculum and benefit from daily practice with the same supports. Many of our students also explore the world by touching, mouthing, or crumpling materials, which means paper items don’t last long. Laminating helps us create sturdy, safe, and reusable resources that give every child consistent access to learning.
Every single student in our school relies on laminated supports, such as individual schedules, “first/then” boards, token systems, and communication tools to help them understand their day, express themselves, and build independence. We also laminate books and hands-on activities from our curriculum so students can engage in learning without fear of their materials falling apart.
This laminator will not only save paper, but it will also give our students the durable, personalized supports they need to thrive. With your help, we can create tools that last—so our students can focus on what really matters: learning, growing, and shining.
