Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The motto at our school is “Supporting Student Strengths with Passion, Purpose, and Professionalism.” This project focuses on fostering students’ strengths by making sure they can access their curriculum in a fun and unique way by incorporating materials that can be adapted! Many of the Special Education students I work with come from limited resources and have behavioral, medical, and academic needs. Some of the students live in group or foster homes, and it can be a challenge to find motivating activities that will engage them.

My students would love to be able to have basic, but brilliant materials provided by fellow educators on teachers pay teachers, so they can practice their communication skills!

My Project

Help us get back to school with basic, but the best materials for targeting a variety of speech needs.

Although our project is basic, it will help fulfill many unique speech and language goals my students have.

We use lamination sheets like crazy to adapt materials and make them last for years to come. The teachers pay teachers gift card will help support other fellow educators, but also provide much needed speech activities and resources for families. Lastly, the velcro dots will hold everything together and allow my students to interact with the adapted materials.
