Help me give my students extended opportunities in physical education to explore the benefits of participating in various activities, both individual and team.

My Project

After the Lahaina fires, physical education at our school will need to re-evaluate activities on certain days when the wind and rain are present. With a decreased student enrollment, our physical education classes are much smaller. Smaller class size has allowed us to revisit the use of our student weight room. Throughout the year and when air quality is questionable, students will be allowed to use the weight room. The addition of the landmine attachments, student will be able to explore new explosive movements that will contribute to overall strength and wellness. Students will focus on correct lifting form. Also, older students (with permission) and staff members will benefit in their overall wellness with the addition of the inversion table.

In addition to the weight room equipment, equipment is needed to update our "backyard games" unit.

Ladder toss, cornhole, and Kan Jam Kan Smash. The activities will be utilized throughout year and emphasized with aerobic activity is not encouraged because of air quality.

The physical education department also needs to update our supply of pickleballs and basketballs.
