Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The members of our middle school girls' basketball team are outstanding student-athletes and work very hard to maintain their grades as well as compete on the court at a high level.

This a great group of girls and they are eager to learn as much as they can about the game of basketball.

The team went 10-2 this year and were undefeated for the majority of the season. This was the first year playing basketball for most of the girls.

My Project

We are preparing these girls for the next level and ensuring they are ready for the challenge. Most of our girls are first year players or have been playing for only a few years. They are in need of additional training materials in order to help them increase their basketball IQ and preparedness for the upcoming season.

The donation of these items will help improve our team's shooting ability, agility, defense, free throw shooting and strength.

Some of our girls have a desire to play at the highest level and training at this stage is very important to their success.
