Help me give my students kits to learn about the chemistry behind and evolution of lactose intolerance!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Throughout the year, we discuss many interesting topics in biology class. One topic that has several biology connections is the concept of lactose intolerance. I introduce lactose intolerance while discussing enzymes and then bring back the topic when discussing evolution of traits. We also discuss how culture and human behavior drive evolutionary change.
These kits will help students understand lactose intolerance from an micro and macro perspective.
These kits will be used in both my biochemistry and evolution units. Students will love the hands on and real life applicability of these lab experiences!
