Labs that Advance

My students need 20 AP Biology lab books.

This project is fully funded

I teach AP Biology to a great group of kids in a low income school. We have been trying to offer more advanced placement classes, and this year we have a record number of AP Biology students but no laboratory books.

The AP Biology program requires students to complete 12 specific labs. The labs are outlined in the AP Book, but we do not have the books. This amount of books would allow me to have a classroom set of books that students can work and study out of. I cannot ask the students to buy the books because they come from low-income situations and cannot afford the books.

The books would greatly improve the situation of the students by providing them the described labs. The students can then study the labs for the test and college preparedness. This also organizes students.

Helping these students will positively impact the future of science. I have smart students who are willing to learn and want more science. The labs create a learning environment for students to become scientists, and also to practice skills.
