The books made a big difference in helping them feel both confident and included in our choice novel unit, as they were able to actually engage with stories written at their level but that also reflected their interests and the voices of teenagers just like them.\r\n\r\nProviding ML students with the access to these books also help inspire them to write their own stories. You will see in one of the photos, a piece written by one of my ML students that was inspired by one of the books from your donation. Her creativity and the confidence she gained in her writing are jus a small glimpse of the impact you made.\r\n\r\nThank you again for investing in my students and helping me create a classroom where every learner feels seen, supported, and capable.","fullyFundedDate":1740931803384,"projectUrl":"project/please-judge-this-book-by-its-cover/9107897/","projectTitle":"Please Judge This Book By Its Cover","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Yamamoto","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7285361_orig.jpg?crop=481,481,x0,y48&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1619041856210","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7285361"},{"teacherId":7285361,"projectId":9005985,"letterContent":"Thank you for your donations which helped provide multiple power strips and Chromebook chargers for my students to use. While these items may seem like a small ask for a classroom, they have made an huge impact on the daily engagement of my students and the overall functionality of our learning environment.\r\n\r\nAs I'm sure you know, the use of Chromebooks in the classroom has become a necessity, as students use them to research, write, collaborate on group projects, access assignments on Canvas, and check their grades in our gradebook system. For students, the power to fully utilize their Chromebooks often comes down to something as simple as having access to a charger or a working outlet, and your donation has provided both. The power strips have been placed strategically around the room, giving students easy access to charge their devices without disrupting the flow of learning. The new chargers ensure that students who have forgotten theirs, or whose chargers have been lost or broken, can still fully participate in what we are doing in class.\r\n\r\nThe impact you made was immediate in my classroom.
