My Project

Students in my Advanced Placement Environmental Science classes enroll because they are concerned about the past, current and future state of the planet. Lab experiences are an essential component of understanding how the environment should be working under the ideal conditions.

Get Smart to Do Good!

This motto is at the heart of our school and my courses. Providing expanded access to lab experiences for my diverse group of learners will help my students to better understand the underlying problems in the environment. This increased understanding will help them to identify actions and that we can take to improve the health of the planet and people.

This project will help me to improve the accuracy of soil testing for our long term investigation. The Air Quality Survey will help us to quantify particulate matter in our air. Examining tree rings will help us to see the impacts of climate change on tree growth. KIll-A-Watt sensors will help students to better understand how the devices that we use in our home utilize electricity and often waste electricity.

Your support for this project will help my students learn science by doing science!
