Help me give my students the proper tools to clean up after themselves to maintain the laboratory, and teach them to be responsible and mindful of their surroundings.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Carr's classroom raised $167

My Project
The two different types of brushes requested to wash different types of glassware. Smaller glassware such as graduated cylinders or Erlenmeyer flasks, and volumetric flasks will be easier to wash using the smaller brushes. Larger glassware, mainly beakers would be washed better using the larger brushes to help maintain the lab space.
Deionized water serves to help in the cleaning of laboratory equipment as it has been completely stripped of ions and minerals, making it ideal for rinsing freshly washed laboratory material.
We do this, so that it doesn't leave mineral deposits on laboratory equipment so as not to have any side chain reactions occurs that may impact student safety.
Additionally, deionized water can be used to make solutions as we can be sure that only the chemicals we want to introduce into a reaction are present. To help conserve the deionized water, we plan to allocate small amounts of water to the students using the wash bottles as the large container can be difficult to wield at times.
Teaching students to take care of the space around them and help maintain the lab teaches them good laboratory practices that they can use in the future. It also teaches them good practices to help them develop as citizens as it makes them conscious of the world around them.
