Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a product of the Chicago Public School district, I know the issues my students face daily. Yet, despite their circumstances, my students want to succeed in life, overcome all obstacles, and make their families proud!

My students are strong, vibrant, full of life, and always ready to do the task at hand, but, often they wish there was more to class than just pen and paper.

My students are respectful and well-mannered. Unfortunately, oftentimes they have too many odds stacked against them. It is my goal that a lack of resources is not another issue they face!

My Project

With more school supplies, more things need to get labeled accordingly. Since I have had the opportunity to get projects funded with Donors Choose I have found that there needs to be an effective system to organize all the things! A lot of the materials, such as novels and recorders will be traveling with students outside of the classroom.

This project will ensure that all books, recorders, and classroom-specific materials and supplies get properly labeled!

This project helps to make sure that all materials and supplies are properly tagged so that they may be returned and tracked! Being able to tag and label items will not only help our class be more organized it will also ensure that these items will be available for hundreds of students to use each year! An awesome bonus is that this thermal printer will also allow me to create stickers for my students as positive reinforcement!
