This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students

This school is a middle city school with students from many different economic and cultural backgrounds.
My students are asked to provide supplies that might be financially hard for them to get. Our school is a Title I school, and every donation goes a long way. Our students are driven to always do their best, but they struggle. They need financial and emotional support from their community to help them meet their true potential.
My Project
My students have 8 classes in a day. That is 8 classes to keep track of letters, worksheets, notes, tests and other "important items," us teachers deem to be so valuable they must be kept on their persons at all time. They have notebooks and supplies (or at least we hope they do) to last the day. The reality is, their backpacks are a mess, their binders are a mess and their notes are mess. I would like to change some of this, if just for my class.
Wouldn't it be nice if someone would go through your desk and files organizing and labeling everything so you could find it with ease?
This is what I would like to do for the 21 students I have in my Homeroom class. After their backpacks and lives are a little more organized I would also like to give ALL 100 of my students math folders with pockets so that they can keep their math work and "valuables" neat and not a crumpled mess. I am asking for folders and a label maker (with a case and extra labels) so that my students can be more responsible for their own school lives. Please help us become more organized!
