Help me give my students laboratory supplies so that I can do more hands-on activities that help ground their learning in more concrete phenomena.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
From math-heavy word problems to complex conceptual ideas, AP Chemistry is infamous for being one of the most difficult classes students can take in high school. My students--predominantly LatinX and lower-income--come from a variety of different backgrounds and experience levels. Some are able to pick up on the material extremely quickly, while most others struggle to even get started. There is also a wide range of math and reading gaps that have been a challenge to overcome.
Yet, despite all this, my students have chosen to face these obstacles head-on, to embrace the academic rigor of a college-level curriculum.
Many students will be the first in their family to pursue higher education, and I'm excited to work with them to help prepare them to reach their goals.
My Project
Demonstrations allow students to observe concrete examples of oftentimes theoretical concepts happening right in front of them. From acid-base titrations to redox reactions to the explosive nature of group 1 metals and periodic trends, I want my students to get to experience all of the exciting things that chemistry has to offer.
More importantly, labs provide the basis for students to develop analytical thinking and argumentation skills that will be essential in not only college but also all aspects of their lives, no matter what they may end up doing.
Please help my students practice these skills in an authentic lab context!
