Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In the heart of my school many of our families are first, second, or third generation immigrants. We are a title I school. Our school is located in NY where diversity and equity is a great focus to find balance and support our students in their abstract thinking and looking for ways to support this.

I look to have a welcoming, open and loving classroom for the students to come on a daily basis to enjoy learning.
My Project
The collection of "La coleccion El Baul" is a Spanish book collection to provide diversity and interest in our dual language library in the classroom. We want to have our students be exposed and enjoy reading authentic spanish text and provide cultural and non fiction texts.
Reading with joy and interest in Spanish in our dual language classroom.
Reading can and should be fun and with joy in both English and in Spanish. We will use the resources of this collection to support our Spanish reading, have access to book shopping in our Spanish library with joy and exposure to authentic Spanish text.
