My students need math games to practice math skills in small groups.
Kids learn better by doing. My students need hands-on materials that help them learn important math skills that are needed to be successful in the future. Kids love playing games, so what better way to integrate learning than through games they can play with their classmates?
My students have a love for learning and enjoy interacting with others.
They are second graders at an elementary school. The students come from a variety of backgrounds. They love coming to school where they can gain knowledge and share their learning with others. I am amazed each day at the amount of support they give to each other. They want to see their friends succeed. Our school includes kindergarten through fifth grade and has a wonderful faculty and staff that go above and beyond to ensure the success of the students.
By donating to this project, you will help my students receive materials that will allow them to do something they love. Math skills such as counting money, telling time, and basic addition and subtraction are foundational skills that are needed to be successful in our world. Not only will you be helping my students become better mathematically, but also more socially interactive. The games will provide them with an opportunity to work together to teach each other. I plan to share these games with other second grade teachers at my school. Therefore, this project will benefit all second grade students at my school.
My students are always asking if we can play a game.
They absolutely love it. This project puts the students' interests first. By providing them with an activity they love, you will help motivate them to learn and practice math skills.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
