My students need LeapFrog Explorer Learning Tablets, headphones, cases, and many games to investigate Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and even Reading Skills.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Do you remember the first time you beat a video game and how rewarding it felt? I would like for my students to play games and learn at the same time. LeapFrog has many games that specifically target life science, engineering, mathematics, physical science, letters sounds.
My students are eager to come to school and find out what new and exciting things we will do each day.
They attend a Title I school, and few have access to the Internet at home. Students will be excited to learn about the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Reading with the Leapfrog Explorer tablets that this project funds. They like to feel important and these tools will make them feel very grown up using new technology while learning about age specific content.
My Project
The students will use the Leapfrog LeapPad2 Tablets each day. They will use the various games also included in this project that specifically target math, science, reading, and engineering content for kindergarten.
The tablet cases will protect the Leapfrog to use year after year.
Students will use the headphones while using the Leapfrog tablets.
This project will be a great resource to start STEM education in kindergarten and prepare these 5 year olds to choose and aspire to become Scientists, Technicians, Engineers and Mathematicians.
