I teach a dynamic group of kids who are always looking for ways to learn new things about technology. They come to the classroom filled with humor and laughter and creative minds. More than a positive attitude, these kids come to my classroom looking for ways they can express their knowledge with the aid of technology. They often ask if they can use a laptop so they can work on their projects in Google Docs and research about topics that they were assigned to study.
My Project
My students need a new Macbook Pro laptop to help them conduct research when they are in the classroom. Many of the laptops in the computer carts in my room are outdated and at times take a long time to boot up. The new Macbook Pro will help keep my students engaged in the classroom. It will provide them with a tool that they can use to do projects, make slide presentations, research about lessons or topics that are assigned to them, record data, collaborate with other students online through the creation of blogs entries. The laptop will help them become better students and users or technology.
