My students are a wonderful group of young adults who are striving to learn as much as possible each day. They all have hopes and dreams of attending college after graduation. For some, they will be the first in their family to attend college. Each day, we work together using critical thinking and STEM skills to work toward their goals. My students have to overcome obstacles each day, yet they don't let any of them get them off track. My school consists of a diverse population with 75% of our school consisting of students who receive free and reduced-price lunch and military-affiliated families.
My Project
My students are bright stars who amaze me each day because they arrive at school ready to learn. These students all come from diverse backgrounds including homelessness, poverty, low income, and military families, yet they don't let any obstacle stop them from working hard to achieve their dreams. These students work together to make sure that everyone is successful and that everyone has the same opportunities to learn. My goal is to make sure that they all have the supplies they need to be successful so that they can reach their dreams. I am requesting a variety of ACT and SAT review and prep books for my students. These books will give all my students the ability to have a review and prep book for their upcoming tests. For most of my students, their hopes of attending college will rely on receiving a scholarship, so by helping them prepare for their ACT and SAT test can help them get these scholarships. For a lot of my students, they will be the first person in their family to attend college. A lot of my students don't have the financial resources to purchase these luxury type of books on their own. With the support of donors like yourself, you will help to make sure my students have nothing but open doors to their futures.
