Knitting for Emotional Strength

Help me give my students a more social emotional classroom environment helping to cope with stress.

My Project

I often use break time to show students the arts of knitting and crochet. My students need to learn how to manage stress through social emotional support projects.

It has been shown that yarn arts that including knitting and crochet as well as other fiber arts, help center focus, develop better eye to hand coordination, and through repetitive movements also help to allow for a calming activity.

My students are also able to take home projects to be able to complete while on public transport or in their own homes which helps to reduce anxiety, stress and manages time spent on technology devices.
