My Students
My Culinary Arts students are enrolled in a three-year program with varying levels of passion for food. Some are interested in Culinary and others are interested in Pastry Arts. Their objectives include skills development, proper knife skills, cooking techniques, and safe food handling.
A large portion of their education revolves around a clean kitchen.
We wash our own towels and aprons so we can clean. Our current washing machine and dryer is becoming quite weathered and we can use an upgrade. With a new unit, we can continue to save money so that there are additional funds for foods as well as new equipment.
My Project
The washer and dryer that is listed will allow my students to maintain a clean environment in our kitchen.
Our current units are reaching their breaking point after a rigorous 10 years.
We are continuously employing good wiping, scrubbing and sanitizing skills each day that prevent cross-contamination and unsafe food handling.
Our new washer and dryer will provide us with clean towels and aprons to accomplish this necessary task. We also assist with uniforms for our athletic department as well as special education life skills. This project will definitely serve our school community very well.
