This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Prek students love role-playing. The dramatic play in my classroom lacks a kitchen play set that encourages imaginative play. I would love for my students to have an opportunity to enjoy a kitchen set that will promote social-emotional development and foster important life skills like problem-solving, collaboration, and sharing.
Through role-playing, my students can explore concepts of the importance of food, nutrition, and community workers which enriches their language and cognitive development.
My goal is to provide many opportunities to build positive interaction while enjoying role-playing and making learning both fun and educational.
