Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a class all about nutrition and wellness. I get to teach my student's about the basics of cooking and we have fun cooking labs. I am needing to get measuring spoons and cups so each kitchen can have their own set. This will help the students during labs. I have picked out soft opening can openers to give each kitchen their own and this way no one gets hurt opening the cans. Lastly I picked out cupcake holders for the students to use during our cupcake war lab. This is one of their favorite labs and things get pretty competitive. It is so fun to see the kids get to be creative and compete while learning and cooking (which they love).

My students are truly the best and want to be successful in the kitchens.

As a teacher it is so rewarding seeing them grow throughout the trimester and learning skills they will need to be success for life after high school.
