My Students

My students were affected by COVID because many of them were not able to go to preschool last year. They came to school not knowing letters, sounds, pencil grips, knowing basic rhyming skills or letter formation. I would like to obtain magnetic letter tiles and other materials for small group instruction to help them practice the phonics skills that they are lacking.

My Project

My kindergarteners missed out on their preschool year because of COVID. Because of this, they missed out on essential skills they should have learned before they came to kindergarten. They need to build their fine motor skills, word building and letter formation with the requested magnetic whiteboards and various word building games.

I teach 49 students in two sessions, so space is very limited.

The organizer cubby will help my class organize centers so that I can utilize small group introduction time better! Small group work is always the best way to reteach skills and focus on specific needs that they are lacking.
