Small schools have unique situations when it comes to athletics. Our basketball team is made of 3 small schools that come together to play. The students are from grades 8 through 12. Each school has a unique population. One school specializes in educating students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders. Another has two programs; one of which is a college preparatory program, and the other, a strand service for students with special education needs. The third school is a general education middle/high school.
My Project
The resources being requested would be used for practice during boys basketball. Our students span 3 schools from grades 8-12. The schools have limited budgets and often athletics equipment comes from donations because there are no funds. The team has existed for only 3 years and the program is still developing.
We need the tools to create a successful environment for the students to learn teamwork and build their basketball skills.
The basketballs requested would be used to daily practices. Getting 10 balls would give us the flexibility of running multiple drills during practices and not limit our ability to teach individual athletes.
