This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students enjoy hands-on experiences and group project-learning experiences. We have been learning about the elements of the arts through exploring and experimenting with various art supplies this year, including markers, oil pastels, glue, scissors, and crayons. Integrating cross-curriculum STEAM components like kinetic sand would provide an engaging tactile sensory experience.

Students will explore and experiment with different textures, shapes, and forms with kinetic sand cross-curricular activities to bridge visual arts with other subject areas, such as science, mathematics, and literacy.

They will explore scientific concepts like erosion and sedimentation, create geometric shapes and patterns for math activities, and incorporate storytelling and writing into their artistic creations. Group exploration and experimentation with kinetic sand would be a great hands-on project for my creative young artists.
