Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Kindergarteners are very active! They require many brain breaks and activities that require movement. I have found that children learn best by doing, they also learn the quickest through accessing their learning through multiple modes of learning. The materials in this project will help to give my students a greater tether on the material they are trying to attain and apply. Number spots, sight word movement cards, and letter & number puzzles are just a few of the materials which will assist in this active learning!

These hands-on tools will ensure my kindergarteners are getting the most out of each learning moment, keeping them engaged and helping them to access and unlock learnable moments through movement during math and language arts.

There are so many wonderful center activities, involving movement, I have found on Teachers Pay Teachers! I am excited about adding these activities to the classroom. The room length number line would be a fun way for students to act out word problems. There are so many flashcard games out there! I would love to bring number flashcards into the classroom to play Around the World and other such movement games with the kids!
