When asked what they would like to do to support their campus and local community, my 6th grade students said they would like to combat bullying. The students would like to be proactive and teach others the importance of being kind and respectful to all those around them.
The students would like to create posters that they can hang around campus and their community to raise awareness.
They would like to use the paper, paint, and paintbrushes to express their creativity and use of language to create campaign posters. They want to hang up their artwork and signs using the command hooks around campus to support the understanding of all students. The students would use the portable printer to create images of what kindness looks like in the world around them. The multimedia project will allow the students to witness firsthand how they can make a difference in their community. Since they are graduating this year, they will be able to collect the images in the photo album to keep in the school library. The students use an SEL program that contains videos to watch on their devices. The headphones will allow them to hear anti-bullying videos.
