Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As we read and analyze the novel Pay It Forward, my students will also learn the most important lesson of all, it pays to be kind to others.
In my ELA class, resiliency is a revisited theme.
Pay It Forward will stress the importance of building resilience when faced with challenges, all within a supportive community.
My goals for this project are for my students to read, analyze, write, cite evidence, summarize, and think critically as they read the novel in literature circles and take on different roles within their own reading and learning communities.
My students are part of our S.T.E.A.M. Magnet program, and connecting the literature to the real world will help facilitate their learning.
My students are special because they are eager learners who strive for excellence.
