My Project

I am a proud speech pathologist. My goal is to support all learners with not just their academics, but with important life skills. I would like to support my older students in starting a community service initiative for our wonderful school. Our school has many early childhood students with special needs that sometimes struggle with behavior and self-regulation. We want to bring together our older students and younger students in a Kindness Club that meets during lunch. The older students want to buddy up with our younger students who have significant needs. This would be great for peer socialization and support.

In order to have our community service project come to life, we need materials such as magnet tiles, dollhouses, figurines and play dough so the students can have fun while supporting each other.

All students in the school community will benefit from these materials and we can expand our program to an after-school kindness club where older kids mentor our younger learners. In order to foster relationships and fun students will have various materials to play with during their Kindness Club time.
