This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first year special education teacher for students with autism and severe disabilities. My students are mostly non-verbal, and require sensory items and technology-based learning in order to be successful.
Please help me create a kind and inclusive classroom environment by supplying our classroom with the things my students need most!
A multi-charger iPad station will allow my students to have access to their communication devices and classroom technology. Sensory supplies and velcro dots allow my classroom staff to supply students with what they need for a break and to calm themselves down, and show kindness and consideration towards their peers. We would love for our classroom to be a welcoming, inclusive environment where all students feel welcome and safe.
