This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I would like to teach my students the importance of giving to others. Nothing makes a person's day more than receiving a small gift that they did and expect. Through the kindness counts initiative my students will have a chance to do this with me. I plan to decorate a small rolling cart and each week pick a team to receive a small gift. In the beginning, the plan is just to have snacks to share. I think this is a great way to build morale in the school. This will also allow my students with social skills and social communication goals to practice their social interactions in a natural way.
