My students are an active group who are dedicated to learning and love when learning is made fun. They enjoy experiments and outdoor activities that connect their learning to something fun. They can be a bit rambunctious, but I use 'brain breaks' to let them shake out their energy and regain their focus.
My students are high energy learners who enjoy science and writing.
They love building and exploring and love telling about what they learned in the day's lessons. My school is passionate about contemporary learning and using innovative methods to reach the students.
My Project
In order to help my classroom become more environmentally friendly and cost effective, I am requesting six Amazon Kindle Fires so that I can do small group novel studies in my classroom. I feel that these devices will help motivate the students to read since they greatly enjoy reading on devices rather than with a paperback book.
These devices are a great tool for students and are a great motivational tool for reading.
These devices would come in handy to keep my classroom from becoming cluttered and from spending funds on books when I can buy a single digital copy to be shared amongst the six devices.
The students will use these devices during small group instruction and will read novels on them which we will then discuss during the instruction. These devices will be very helpful in inspiring the students and they will use them to find new books and reading material that they would otherwise be unable to find.
