My classroom is filled with eager to learn 6 and 7 year olds. We are active, excited mathematicians, scientists, readers, writers and citizens. It's a loving classroom where every child is pushed to do their very best.
These first graders are ready to push themselves to new heights this year!
I have students from many different countries and many different backgrounds. One unifying characteristic is their love of new technology; it speaks to children of any language! The motivation that these kiddos gain, and confidence they have, while working with technology is astounding. Please help me expose them to fresh and exciting technology; they are hungry to learn and ready to accomplish new goals and high expectations!
My Project
We all get excited about new technology; it is a highly motivating tool that engages any student. Technology is transforming our world, and it is our job to prepare students for changes we can't even picture yet. My students need access to lots of different types of technology! I want to give my kids 5 Kindle Fires as well as 5 new Dragon Touch tablets. These tablets will allow my kids to have access to programs to help motivate and challenge their literacy, math, exploration, science, and technology skills. The Kindles will open up thousands of new books to my kids; that, and the novelty of mixing technology and reading will help inspire my kiddos to new heights in their reading.
Donations to this project will open up new avenues of learning for my kids.
They will have access to programs and books that can be targeted for each individual's needs. The joy of working with technology (the language of today) will encourage each child to reach new heights. Your donations are appreciated!
