This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you use technology on a daily basis? Students are tech savvy and need access to the Internet for research. They are curious and love to explore. With these Kindle Fires they will have the web at their fingertips.

My students are bright, motivated, enthusiastic 7th graders.

They come from all over the city to get a good education. All my students have to apply to get into our school and are happy to be here. They work hard and are great learners. They deserve the best access to quality materials and technology.

My Project

These Kindle Fires are tablets that hold unlimited possibilities in terms of research and exploration. The students will be able to access websites easily without having to share the one laptop we have or one desktop computer. They will be able to work together and use the Kindles for their poetry projects and their persuasive projects.

This project is important because it allows students to explore information in a way that they feel comfortable.

They are proficient using the Internet and will learn additional research strategies through their use of school data bases, and online encyclopedias. This will use something that interests them and something they they enjoy and will add on to their existing knowledge.
