My Students
My students are amazing! They love being at school, love learning and especially love reading! My students are curious, caring, kind and compassionate toward others. They come from hard working, loving families who value education and want the best for their children.
My students come from diverse economic, religious, and ethnic backgrounds.
Our school is a Title I school with just over 500 students in grades Pre-school to 6th grade. Approximately 55.6% of our students receive free or reduced price breakfast and lunch.
My Project
Students in the 21st century need to be tech savvy. What better way to start them on road to success than with a piece of technology just their size? My students will use Kindle Fire tablets to practice reading and math skills that have been taught in class. My students will be able to play learning games that will help to reinforce reading and math. Their reading and math fluency scores will increase because of the variety and amount of practice they will be able to engage in. My students also love to look up science and social studies related information-their curiosity is insatiable! Students love technology, it engages them and I look forward to using this tool to help my students learn and grow!
