Kindle Fires for Third Grade!

My students need the Kindle Fires and cases in order for students to have more options when it comes to reading. We will use them for playing educational games and completing centers in the classroom in all areas.

My Students

My students LOVE to read. I always find them with a book in their hands! We have a great classroom library but unfortunately our book room isn't as great. I love pulling groups for reading with my students but a lot of the time my students are uninterested due to how "outdated" the books are in the book room. Having a kindle in the classroom would help us out tremendously and add a bit of spice with technology in the class.

"Can I use the iPads?" Is quite often what I hear when it comes to independent reading.

I would love to offer more technology to my students to use during language art centers. We would also use them in math, social studies, and science playing different games and performing different tasks in the classrooms.

My Project

These materials will make a HUGE difference to my students because they will have technology at their finger tips. They are tested on computers and this will give them the opportunity to use technology in everyday settings to prepare them for testing.

It will also allow for them to become more engaged as learners because they will all want to use the technology.

Students will have the manipulatives needed to be successful in math and will be able to get a feel of how to use them on the computer to prepare for the upcoming tests that will be taking in May.
