Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach Kindergarten at a public school in urban LA County. I have 26 lively, 5 year olds. My kindergarten students come from various socio economic levels, various ethnicities. Some are English language learners and some are students with special needs. Many receive free or reduced lunch. All are excited about being in Kindergarten. For some this is their very first time in school as they have never been to preschool. All are excited to learn and be at school each day.
My Project
This is my first year teaching Kindergarten and I don't have many hands on materials for them to use. I believe that children (and adults) learn best by hands on, engaging activities. Unfortunately, I do not have many age appropriate puzzles or games for my Kinders.
The puzzles and games I am requesting are all educational tools that will help them learn their abc's and their numbers.
Because they are puzzles and games - it will be fun and they students will have fun while they are learning.
Without your help I have no hope of getting my Kinders the things they need. Thank you for helping us learn!
