My Students

My students come from different backgrounds to succeed every day. They are bright but do not come in at the level that most 1st graders come in. They have come a long way in the year that I have taught them. They love Disney and Superheroes and learning about new topics in science and social studies. They are becoming great readers and soaring in math! They have such big hearts and their homes are not the greatest but I try to create a safe space for them to be and to learn.

My Project

Kindergarteners are still developing handwriting and fine motor skills. Using shorter pencils for them is easier a lot of times because they are easier to control. They also can erase better with the big pink erasers. Having these supplies for me students will be so helpful.

Sometimes having books to teach certain lessons and basic supplies like tissues and paper makes a world of difference in the classroom!

Our students need to be safe so it would be great to have wipes and spray to keep the germs away! Making friends with social distancing is hard but having books to bridge that gap makes it easier.
