My Students

I teach in a small rural school in the foothills of Southwest Virginia. My class consist of 20 inspiring, eager, and developing tiny humans who come to school ready to learn each day. Most of my students receive free breakfast and lunch provided by the school. 50% of my students qualify to receive Title 1 services in both math and reading. 55% of our school population is considered economically disadvantaged. This causes many struggles in my students' daily lives but does not affect their eagerness to learn and willingness to love!

My Project

I am requesting four Kindle Fire tablets for my kindergarten classroom. These tablets will be used as a center resource for both math and language arts. All students will have access to the tablets and will be used on a daily basis.

My students are always excited to learn through technology!

I currently only have 3 working student computers which only allows me to give each student a small amount of weekly time on the computers. By having tablets, I will be able to double the amount of technology time my students are receiving each week.

My students will be ecstatic to be able to complete activities on tablets. We love having new materials and new opportunities in our classroom. I am looking forward to seeing what my students will accomplish with new tablets. Please help me provide new technology opportunities to my kindergarten students.
