My students need the Paperback Classics Library because our reading and writing curriculum implores learners to develop a love of reading. Classic books can be the best way to introduce Kindergartners to the world of reading!
My students are blazing new trails each and every day! Located in a completely "green" community, my school uses Project-Based Learning to enhance the daily lessons and classroom instruction. We put the fun and excitement of learning back into school and the success of the students is evident in everything they do!
Along with Project-Based Learning opportunities, our school uses a rigorous Reading and Writing curriculum.
It is research based and promotes a very high level of student engagement. Our school's goal, which aligns with the expectations set forth in our curriculum, is to have every student reading a variety of leveled books, all the time. Personally, I strongly believe that the best way to foster a love of learning in children is to have them read!
My Project
The best way to foster a love of reading and writing is by actively engaging young learners in their education. Having access to a variety of books, both fiction and non-fiction, opens up possibilities that our students will benefit from! Allowing them the space to write and reflect on their reading will only enhance their learning experiences!
Because our school is only in its second year, the current collection of books is very limited.
Our school has three Kindergarten classrooms, and we all share one small classroom library. Books and early literacy games allow students the freedom to explore the world of reading and writing!
