Kindergartners: Exploring the World Through Big Books
My students need a big book cart to see and store the amazing National Geographic big books we have in our classroom.

My Students
My students are eager to start Kindergarten! Many of them have attended preschool and are excited to finally start learning "big kid stuff." They are active learners who need hands-on learning activities throughout their day. As the months of the year pass, they grow and their needs change within the classroom.
My students are a part of a wonderful school family.
We have students, teachers, parents, staff, and community members that care about them and their success. We aim to provide them with the most developmentally appropriate learning environment.
My Project
Our new Language Arts program, National Geographic Reach for Reading, has many wonderful resources. Each unit includes fiction and nonfiction big books to read and explore.
These books are engaging for all of my Kindergarten students, especially my English language learners.
They learn valuable literacy concepts and skills while using these books.
Our classroom is in need of a cart to store the big books as well as display them. This cart will give me the chance to display the big books so they can be more interactive. The storage area will help organize the books so the students and I can find them easily.
