Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am seeking funding to create a dynamic and flexible learning environment for my active kindergarten and first-grade combo class. My experience shows that students thrive when they have the freedom to move and choose their seating arrangements rather than being confined to traditional desks. By incorporating flexible seating options like lap desks and floor seats, I aim to enhance their focus and engagement

I plan to introduce hands-on STEM manipulatives to foster problem-solving skills and encourage creative, out-of-the-box thinking.

Many of my students are multilingual, so I am also requesting puzzles, art supplies, and toys that support language acquisition and communication. These resources will provide enriching experiences that cater to diverse learning styles and help all students succeed.

I believe that by meeting my students where they are, I can help them learn, grow, and thrive. I have been teaching for 18 years, and have never met a group of children who deserve this more. Thank you for considering my project to enrich their educational experience!
