Kindergarteners Stamp It Out For Literacy!

My students need 3 sets of Stamp & Write Sight-Words, alphabet stamps, and ink pads in five colors to create a Stamp It Out center full of stamping literacy fun!

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to play while they learn, and our classroom workstations address that! One thing that would make sight words and letters much more fun and sensory would be a new "Stamp It Out" station, full of new stamps to build words!

I am blessed with a group of 21 children from all over our diverse city.

In this classroom alone, we have 5 different languages spoken. Many of my students were lucky enough to attend preschool and have great reading readiness skills! They love to learn new things, and they have lots of fun working in small groups during workstations. Still other students are in need of more scaffolding and are working toward being independent in small groups. All in all, these kids are amazing little learners who are sweet, inquisitive, and generally fun!

My Project

I am requesting one Workstation Pocket Chart to use during center work. I feel that this will be easier for my students to follow, especially for those who need a constant visual! I love the color-coded easiness of this chart. I am also requesting sight word stamps, letter stamps, stamp pads, and phonemic awareness stamps for the children to use during center time. These resources will enable me to create a stamping workstation, where children will work on phonemic awareness, building words, vowel sounds, and letter and sight word recognition. These materials will allow my students to master letters, sounds, and sight words. They will allow them to work on vowel sounds, CVC words, and blends in an engaging, fun way that they are sure to remember!

These resources will enable me to provide something new, exciting, and sensory for my students.

I will be able to create activities to go along with the letter and word stamps, so my students will have challenging materials to work with as they master the preliminary early literacy skills. These materials will enable my students to practice their early literacy skills and have fun at the same time!
