This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to explore new things, talk, write, and draw about their experiences, and create projects using all different types of materials. They’re just learning to explore their environment and work together as a team.

They come from different cultural backgrounds and learn in our kindergarten to listen to and respect different ideas.

They learn together on the carpet in all areas and are learning to respect personal space.

In addition to writing, drawing, and solving problems, these little ones love to learn through songs, games, stories, and movement. They can’t wait for the new school year and to see their new classroom!

My Project

Kindergarteners love using dry erase markers to learn to write. In our kindergarten we laminate our writing templates for our students so they can use them like dry erase boards. But that's not all! We also laminate our practice pages for math, phonics, language, science response journals, and more! The paper we save and the fun we have doing it is amazing! Not only that, but it makes correcting errors and editing so much easier and more fun!

Students use these markers to learn to write letters, stories, directions, lists, summaries, and more!

The markers make it easy for them to erase, change, or even start all over! We also use these laminated pages to create rough drafts that students can use before copying onto paper for their final creation. They use the black markers for the written portion and the colored markers for the illustrations! We also use the markers in conjunction with hands-on center activites to show what they've learned.

There's even more! Every student in our classroom has their own dry erase board they use as a notepad to work out problems and hold up to show the teacher answers at the front of the room. We don't know what we'd do without our dry erase markers and we use them so much they dry up quickly! Please help us get enough to make it through the year!
