This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach kindergarten, in an extremely diverse school, in Brooklyn.

My stupendous kindergarten students are inquisitive, funny, kind, and enthusiastic.

They love dancing, singing, building with blocks, painting, playing with Legos, reading books, and playing together. They adore center time, and they especially love our dramatic play centers. They're extremely excited about learning to read, write and make new friends. Our classroom is truly a community of learners. My kindergarten students come into class each day eager to learn something new and share it with their families.

My Project

My students love painting at our easel center. Unfortunately, our easel is falling apart and we definitely need a replacement! I know that my students would love painting at this double sided mobile art cart. My favorite part about the cart is when they’re done creating, kids can slide their artwork right onto the drying rack below—so their artwork dries flat and safely out of the way. Currently, we do not have a drying rack. We could also use a table top double-sided write and wipe magnetic easel for small group lessons.
